I loved Santa Barbara from its premier until 1989. After 1989 several departures along with the absence of the Dobsons made the show unrecognizable. Days fell out of favor with me in late 1988 until 1992. No Bo and Hope, no Stefano, no Marlena. Summer of 89 was particularly painful with the Reverend Saul Storyline.
How did "Days of our Lives" compare to "Santa Barbara" during the latter soap's run on NBC?
ReplyDeleteBased on what I know, both shows suffer during the 89-93 period. Santa Barbara was cancel in 93 and Days was struggling.
